We recently gathered with our in-house partners at 437 Hunter Street, Newcastle so we could all get to know each other a little better at our Meet the Partners Event.
Each partner organisation gave a presentation sharing who they are and what they do before an opportunity to socialise and connect.
The presentations and resulting conversations revealed lots of exciting opportunities for collaboration that will benefit both the in-house partners involved and the people they support.
A Growing Community of Like-minded Organisations
Earlier this year our new friends Talk2mebro, Clergy Abused Network, Hunter Circles, Baartz & Co and Heart HR joined Soul Hub, Family Inclusion Strategies in the Hunter (FISH), The Full Circle Collective and Embrace People & Place as in-house partners at 437 Hunter Street in Newcastle.
We are also thrilled that icommunicate recently moved into the building as the tenth in-house partner.
This community of like-minded organisations continues to grow and evolve with more in-house partners moving in soon.
We look forward to welcoming Victims of Crime Assistance League (VOCAL), the Australian Men’s Shed Association and The Kaden Centre into our community very shortly.
It will be wonderful to see all four levels of the building in use as this will represent a huge milestone in fulfilling our vision for the building.
The Perfect Atmosphere
Thank you to our in-house partners Soul Hub for hosting the Meet the Partners Event and providing delicious canapes and drinks. They created the perfect atmosphere for team and board members from our new in-house partners to connect with those of us who already call 437 Hunter Street home.
Rethinking How We Do Things
We warmly welcome guests and other visitors at 437 Hunter Street, and we collaborate with other organisations to find new and effective ways to celebrate their strengths and change their experiences.
At the event, we were all given the opportunity to share ideas for collaboration with other in-house partners and leave messages of encouragement for them.
It was wonderful to later read these messages and glimpse the huge collaborative potential that it just beginning to be realised. It was also heart-warming to see the incredible warmth and generosity of spirit that has already developed between us.
The Meet the Partners Event represented an early step in enacting our model of practice to tackle social exclusion through collaboration between co-located and integrated services.
Much has been achieved already but much more remains to be done.
We’re new and we have big plans.
