Hunter Circles is a grassroots organisation committed to building freely given relationships so that people with disability can take their rightful place at the heart of community – living big, rich lives filled with purpose, love, connections and equal life chances.
How do we do this? We work alongside people with disability to build personal networks or Circles of Support that foster belonging, safety and purpose. We gather trusted community members, neighbours and friends to form the core of a network and we guide the building of meaningful reciprocal relationships. Through these relationships, we support individuals to live a more connected life and do more of what matters to them.
Why do we do this? Because we know that freely given relationships are everything. They are the foundation of a diverse, inclusive community where everyone can be a full and active citizen.
Volunteer with Hunter Circles. Connect with a person with intellectual disability and share your time, interests and companionship. Help us build a more inclusive Hunter community – relationships are everything!
