We develop and support projects at 437 Hunter Street and in the surrounding community
Embrace People & Place develops and supports a range of projects at 437 Hunter Street and in the surrounding community. Our primary focus is housing, education, employment, and social connection.
We address local challenges and bring about positive changes by tapping into local assets, including community members, other organisations, and state and local government.
Learning from experience is central to our project work. We do this through:
We use action learning where lessons and questions from one project lead to our next project.
One example is our Women’s Carparking Pilot Project.
We are informed by the lived experiences of our guests and other people in our community. We take lessons from those experiences to get better at what we do. This includes genuine codesign processes with vulnerable people and community and employing lived experience workers, educators, and researchers.
